Byzantine Necklace

Byzantine Necklace
What is this Byzantine artifact?

The picture information states it is an Eastern Orthodox Russia encolpium or reliquary, but I have been unable to find any thing to compare it to. Does anyone have any suggestions for sources? It is also confusing because the hook is underneath the image so that makes me question whether it is really a necklace.
Thanks for the confirmation on it as a reliquary, I just wish I could find more information on types that are not crosses. I cannot seem to find any of similar shaped or with that type of relief. Any other sources or photographs of them in use, would be especially helpful.

The page is correct, it is a reliquary. There are zillions of reliquaries around the world, basically in Catholic Churches. The ones in the churches are ornate and always contain some artifact – most notably from saints – but that is not absolutely necessary.
