How much does setting diamonds in a ring and resizing cost?
I am really excited about finding some really good deals on diamonds (the quality and cut i wanted), just purchased a setting to accommodate the size and shape, but just curious about how much the work will cost? the stones are princess cut in a three stone setting and it will need to be sized down exactly one size? i know it all depends on the jeweler, but ballpark me.
I am a manufacturing Jeweler,
an average ring with your stone and your gold is between $100 and $200 to make. but just setting a single stone in an existing ring with no alterations needed is $20.
I am in Queensland Australia.
If that is a bit far to come then I am sure there will be some manufacturing Jewelers in your locality. shop around, look in the smaller shopping centers, do not go to the larger stores unless they are cheaper.
Preferably speak to the setter actually doing the job. Haggle a bit if you have a few stones to set.
